About Me
-
My name is Dr Holly Tonge. I am a dedicated Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has gained over fifteen years of experience working in mental health across the life span.
My primary hope is to work collaboratively with my clients to understand their psychological needs and support them to bring about positive change that is meaningful to them.
I have worked with adolescents and adults in various settings including general NHS community mental health services, a National and Specialist Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) clinic, a hospital providing reconstructive surgery and burns care and, more latterly, a local independent clinic offering a range of Psychological Services.
I have been trained in a range of assessment and therapeutic techniques and often integrate different psychological models to best meet the needs of my client. The models I most heavily draw on, however, are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
Whilst I am committed to and trained in supporting clients experiencing various difficulties, I have a particular interest in anxiety problems (including OCD, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Specific Phobias and Panic Attacks) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
